Mystery Maker lets you create custom mystery cases in minutes. Whether you're hosting a game night or want to challenge your detective skills, here's how to get started.

    Choose Your Case Type

The first decision is the type of crime: Murder, Kidnapping, or Theft. Each type offers a different investigation experience:

  1. Murder: Classic whodunit with suspects, alibis and evidence. Ideal for fans of Agatha Christie.
  2. Kidnapping: A disappearance case with hidden clues and key testimonies. Great for dramatic tension.
  3. Theft: Complex robbery with multiple suspects and intricate motives. Perfect for heist enthusiasts.
  4. Configure Your Case

    Next, customize the investigation parameters:

  5. Number of suspects (3-8): More suspects = longer games and harder deductions. Start with 4-5 for your first case.
  6. Number of clues (4-12): More clues give more evidence but can overwhelm beginners. 6-8 is a sweet spot.
  7. Scenario: Choose the crime scene (mansion, office, restaurant, etc.). This sets the atmosphere.
  8. Difficulty: Easy cases have obvious contradictions; Hard cases will test even experienced detectives.
  9. Tips for Your First Case

    1. Start with Easy difficulty – Learn the mechanics before tackling complex cases.

    2. Use 4-5 suspects – Enough variety without being overwhelming.

    3. Pick a scenario you like – The setting affects the narrative flavor.

    4. Play Detective mode first – Cooperative play is easier than Impostor mode for beginners.

Once configured, the AI generates a unique case. No two cases are ever the same. Press play and start investigating!
